A friend once told me that when they go to their relatives house it’s like her kids live there because there are photos of her kids on every wall in her relatives house. Wouldn’t you rather that artwork be in your home? Don’t you want your kids to feel like they belong in your own home?
I like to talk on the phone with my clients, meet them in person, talk about their life and what their hopes are for this portrait session. I want to keep the actual session fun and light hearted, because I want dad and the kids to feel comfortable, and I want mom to relax because I’m taking care of everything. I want to sit down and talk to you about your favorites and why they are your favorites. Is it the face your child made, or the way dad smiles when he looks at mom?
I want to help you choose walls on which to hang this gorgeous artwork, and choose the appropriate size for that wall. I want your children to know they are worth more than these photos because they are photos of them on your wall.
Let’s walk through the client experience I’ve created to help you every step of the way as you choose how to decorate your house.
First, the inquiry. You can inquire many different ways: through my website, a direct message on Facebook or Instagram, an email, or even a text message or a phone call. After you send me your message, I will ask for your phone number because I want to talk with you about who and what you want me to photograph and answer any questions you may have about my photography.
Next, the consultation. We can either meet at your home, which gives me a better understanding of what you are looking for in artwork, or at a coffee shop, if it’s more comfortable for you. At the consultation I will show you products I offer and ask for a picture of the wall you hope to put your artwork on. We will also talk about what you want to wear and confirm the location, date, and time for the session.
The session. I like to keep my sessions short, and since we have already talked about what you are looking for in your artwork, I know what I need to capture. I have studied different posing techniques and know how to get those real smiles and reactions you are looking for. This is when I actually create the artwork for your home. This is when I create memories for you and your family.
Then, the ordering session. After the session I would talk to you about when a good time would be for the ordering session. I’ll show you your photos, and ask you about your favorite ones. I’ll even show you what it looks like on the wall you gave me a picture of. We’ll go through sizes and framing options and even add in the little artwork for your desk.
Last, the delivery. After choosing your artwork, I’ll send you a link where you can access social media files of the artwork you purchased, and place the order to have it professionally put together. Once I receive it, I’ll check it for any imperfections and if necessary have it reprinted at my cost. Once it’s perfect, I’ll call you to set up a day and a time for delivery and to hang it on your wall. Yes, I will hang it on your wall for you, so all you have to do is enjoy your artwork for years to come.
